| But, amazingly, the exhibit also included the ACTUAL FINISHED ARTWORK for this pop-up! The artwork, created with colored pencil and air brush, is a real coup for any collector.

| The stunning pop-up diorama is so rare because its many delicate pieces would obviously be much loved (and handled!) by any child.

Contemporary books also played a big role in the exhibition with cases full of well-known titles, such as "The Human Body."

| Artist's books are an important part of the history of pop-up and movables. These editions are usually created in very small print runs, sometimes with only one book being made!

Even oddly shaped books had a place in the exhibit! This carousel book is not only beautiful in the quality of its illustrations, but sublime in its unique shape.

Both young and old were mesmerized by the delightful treats found at the Sojourner Truth Library at the State University of New York, New Paltz!
