| As you've seen from last month's contest Robert is busy working on a new book for Fall 2005 titled "Winter's Tale – An original pop-up journey." For this month's Sneak Peek Robert showed us the white "dummy" for winter's tale and we were absolutely blown away!

| Since the story takes place in winter, Robert decided to use a special paper that shimmers just like snow for the pages. For the first pop-up an enormous owl spreads it's wings as it prepares to take flight.
A pair of foxes emerge for a cave and greet the morning. The final version of Winter's Tale will have color but many of the elements will remain white which is a trademark of Robert's pop-up design style.
Growing up in Michigan, Robert's world was surrounded by deer, which is apparent here as a family of whitetails leap across a field a dazzling field of snow.

| Something one never hopes to come across at close range, a giant moose takes his time making his way through a frozen swamp (complete with silver, icy foil).
What is the purpose of this white "dummy?" Robert sends the dummy to his publisher where it is reviewed and the finer points of a functioning waterfall and splashing bear are discussed.
Robert's father took him ice fishing as a boy, clearly reflected here as salmon make a leap to escape the clutches of the bear.

| The end of the book culminates in a glorious scene of winter including mountains, trees, a lake and all the animals encountered along the journey. When we saw this open we couldn't believe it would all fit back down between the pages!
And there's even a pull-tab on the last page that brings the book some special holiday cheer! We'll bring you even more pictures from "Winter's Tale" as Robert continues work on this AMAZING book!
