| This month Robert continued to let us have a peek at the progress of his NEW fall book "America the Beautiful." And the word "Beautiful" hardly does it justice! Our breath was taken away time and time again as Robert turned each page to reveal an unbelievably gorgeous pop-up. | Robert was raised in farm country in rural Michigan, so we're not surprised to see a full-fledged farm in 3-D action! There's even a wonderful touch of silver in the spinning windmill.

A fleet of boats now appear underneath San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. There's even little silver waves from the wake of each tiny, white boat!

Since he's such a lover of history, Robert takes us back in time to the ancient indigenous settlements of America like this glorious one, "Mesa Verde."

| Since this is an election year, how appropriate to see some of the greatest leaders of the past in pop-up! This sumptuous 3-D sculpture of Mount Rushmore even his little animals (like the mountain goat at right) to give a sense of scale.

They're ready for their close-ups! George Washington and Thomas Jefferson are refined down to their simplest features but amazingly still retain their subtle dignity and grace.

How do you show the Mississippi River in a pop-up? Very carefully! Robert chose a fully operational paddleboat to convey the power and heritage of one of our most beloved rivers.
